This could actually be a really good thing, as strange as that sounds. While she is not at this time an official spokesperson, she is a spokesperson. She is open about her condition and refuses to retire. And frankly, when there is a celebrity who has been effected, research funds are far easier to come by because the disability is out in the open.
I don’t know. I’m clearly not happy about anyone having this disability, but it’s kind of nice to have someone who does sort of what I want to do who has the problem and is continuing to work with it.
This reminds me of how I felt when I found out that Adam Levine has ADHD, and that he was on a commercial about it to get people to own ADHD as a part of them that doesn’t go away when you “grow up.” I mean, these are two different things, but they’re also both things that people generally think of negatively. And that’s bullshit.
